We talked to the assistant chief constable of the police station in Santa Barbara, Israel León Campos who told us general things about the "Fuerza Pública". Furthermore he gave us suggestions about how to prevent crimes.

Costa Rica has a beautiful nature to offer, which is a very important aspect for economical development and the progression of national tourism. Bandera Azul works voluntarily, moreover they promote competition and organisation of the community for the benefit of present and future generations. The aim of Bandera Azul is to provide an incentive for communities to develop their own organisation. They organise the protection of natural ressources as well as they promote better sanitary and public health conditions for example.
As the community of Barrio Jesús obtains the recognition of Bandera Azul again this year, we give information about the institution and we inform about what they do to improve everyone's life in this article. We talked to María Isolina Aguilar a member of the committee of Bandera Azul in Barrio Jesús who was accompanied by her daughter and Marta Arguedas Miranda, another member of the commitee.

After talking to Marta García Sánchez during the activities of the "Day against Violance Towards Women and Children" in the park of Santa Bárbara on Wednesday, 23th of November, we contacted her again to get more information about the Oficina Municipal de la Mujer in Santa Bárbara.

Five days a week Laura Carballo works at the Escuela de Jesús. She makes sure that the school is clean. In this interview she talks about her work.

As written in the earlier text about Patrullas Ecológicas, we have interviewed another person who puts efforts into the work with children. This person is Margarita González who prepares food for children in barrio Jesús on a daily basis.

Since October was the month of senior citizens, we decided to make an interview with them and for that, we interviewed Doña Vicky, a woman who is dealing with a group of the elderly here in barrio Jesús.

Since the 25th of November was the "International day against violence towards women", there have been various activities taking place where lots of institutions of the "Red Local de la No Violencia hacia la Mujer" held speaches about the bad treatment towards women and children. These were accompanied by theatre plays, music, dances and prayers.
